- REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-August 1, 1995-NeXT Computer, Inc. has
- expanded its "OpenStep Day" program on August 14 to include three
- educational forums- 1) Executive Forum, 2) Introduction to Object
- Technology, and 3) Advanced Object Development. OpenStep Day will
- be held in conjunction with Object World August14-17 at San
- Francisco's Moscone Convention Center.

- OpenStep Day and Object World will be kicked-off with a keynote
- address by Steven P. Jobs, Chairman and CEO of NeXT Computer, Inc,
- on August 14. Steve will discuss the current state of objects in the
- corporate market and unveil new technologies from NeXT, including
- OpenStep objects for Windows 95 and Windows NT as well as tools for
- building distributed applications on the World Wide Web.

- NeXT expanded their OpenStep Day forum to communicate directly to
- executives interested in learning about the business value of object
- technology. The three-track program appeals to a broad audience
- including CIOs, vice presidents, MIS directors, project managers,
- and application developers who are interested in learning more about
- object technology from a business and/or technical perspective.

- At the keynote, Steve Jobs will demonstrate OpenStep, the
- industry's most advanced object-oriented development environment.
- OpenStep allows organizations to rapidly create, deploy and evolve
- three-tier client/server applications which automate
- mission-critical business operations. OpenStep applications are not
- only scalable across clients and servers, they are portable to both
- Windows and Unix platforms.
